Finally at some point during the day on Tuesday before I had to get all ready and go to work, actually had to make a run up to my local Geology/Geophysics Library first, anyways I took a few minutes and figured out the distances from all the Major Earthquakes that struck so far along the Eastern shore of the Pacific Tectonic Plate and then figured out how many days between each of them and made all of that into the chart right here:

The last entry there is where Anchorage Earthquake will be filled in when it strikes, which as of this writing could be at any moment!!! Final moments of the April New Moon Window are right as I am typing this, but alert must continue until we hear the end of all of the Major Earthquake Energy that is currently going on around the Pacific or May 10, 2014 at least. That's according to the Official Prediction for Anchorage you know!

LOTS of other EQ Alerts going on besides Anchorage, but just borders on entertaining. . . more or less knowing a Major Earthquake might be striking at almost that exact spot up there between Juneau and Anchorage and watching and waiting. If you check on this table it has the times and mileage of all the earthquakes in the recent series along the Pacific Tectonic Plate and with Anchorage figured into the list and the number of days and hours figured in. . . comes out at April 29-30 which just so happens to be in New Moon Window. I could hardly believe it looking at the front page of my "Megaquake News" that I just received late on Monday and saw ME!!!!! There has been a small swarm of earthquakes in the recent hours up around Anchorage although I admit to not having a neutral list to compare to this one for the purpose of declaring the level of severity for this particular list, but here it is so you can check it over for yourself:

THOSE are all within just a few miles of the epicenter of the Great 1964 Alaska Earthquake that I specifically measured at 13 miles on one of them although they are a little scattered to give one mileage for all. There are also a number of them in a similar list to the above with the name Anchorage on. . . but again do not have a neutral list so we will leave it at that for now.

The latest as I am writing is a 2.5 that struck 35 miles west of Anchorage about an hour before this posting. It will appear on top of this list to prove it happened moments ago:

I actually edited that list so that the last one did read WSW and chanced it to West in order to fit the page, but continue watching the whole New Moon Window as I discussed in the vid. . . all the way through Wednesday which will be a long two or three days. Finally you might have also seen a lot of tornado activity and might recall I accurately tracked the El Reno Tornado directly to Antiqua and so do be aware that ALL of these tornadoes now striking starting with Beaufort County, North Carolina, including Mayflower, Missouri and Arkansas yesterday and now it looks like it will also include a lot of new areas around Tupelo and Birmingham, Alabama. Last years Washington, Illinois Tornado just so happened to strike almost at the exact moment of a new moon, too! As the tornadoes are doing Monday Night this week the Birmingham Tornado was only about half an hour before that exact moment! Whether New Moons pull affects wind convection remains to be a scene, though and is quite a ways out of my field as you probably know. Very sorry for all the folks who found themselves in the path of those huge windstorms, though, God Bless!!!

LOTS of Earthquakes Striking Alaska With One Very Near Anchorage. . . So Far!!!!! WATCH For More!!!

There was a small 1.9 at San Fernando where we are also currently watching for a Major Earthquake this one not nearly the major one but with a few notable felt reports including:

By far the biggest concern right at the moment although Los Angeles could still get something major, is ANCHORAGE! With at least one of the earthquakes being a direct hit at the Danali Fault, and one tiny one just offshore from downtown Anchorage along with the two at south of Homer and one offshore Kodiak Island. Finally the April 2014 New Moon Window will begin immediately as I am writing this EQ Blog. Greatly increasing the chances of either San Fernando, Tijuana, or Anchorage and Alaska getting some Major Earthquake Energy at any second now! Without going into a lot of those details here, two of the last three Full and New Moons have brought the worst earthquakes including most recently La Habra/Los Angeles just a few hours before the window began. It is highly probable there will be such a major event coming up in the next day or so as well.

As I write they are showing a small town named Mayflower, Missouri with much tornado damage and several lives lost which will mean a ton of brand new earthquake energy for the usual areas such as Oklahoma, New Madrid, Richmond, Mexico, and California again! I will have plenty more about the effects of tornado landfalls in the coming days!

3.9 Denali Fault If Anybody Is Keeping Track!!! Also South of Homer, and Offshore Anchorage Today!!! New Moon Window Starts!!!

Just noticing a lot of earthquake energy going on up in Alaska and have recently added Anchorage to my EQ Twitter and etc. mostly to keep up-to-date on all that is going on up in that region in anticipation of something huge shaking in just the coming moments!!! Two of these have now been striking in those shaky offshore places very much reminiscent of the epicenter of the Great Alaska Earthquake of 1964 making it seem possible offshore could be the location of this upcoming shaker, but now two up smack in the middle of the Danali Fault, so there too! Keep Watching Alaska, and there are a few other places that could also be shaking in the coming hours especially during the New Moon Window. New Moons have been doing some serious damage lately, too, for what that's worth.

Will Anchorage Be Next Major Earthquake? 6.6 to 8.9 Richters? San Fernando/Tijuana Alert Continues, Too!!! New Moon Window Starts Sunday!!!

And of course all the other questions about such a possible event such as when and exactly where abouts in that huge Alaskan Region as well as if it will be or could possibly be one of those that generate a huge tsunami. Actually got a comment on that one from a guy who noted that my video wasn't working! Answer=It's a Podcast, or audio/sound version as I'm sure a lot of you already have figured out but I'm sorry for those of you who haven't yet heard of a "Podcast" and I usually try to explain this because I fully understand not everyone will know the abbreviation "V-Log" and such, but Thank-You for watching and listening to all my V-Logs and Podcasts anyways!!!

With all the discussion about the fact that the Pacific Tectonic Plate will be turning towards Alaska, I thought I should also mention that there will still be the EQ Alert/Official Prediction for San Fernando/Tijuana that was originally the result of the fact that there was also another landfall of another huge Tropical Cyclone at Madagascar and the straight line of potential earthquake energy from TC Hellen crossed the Pacific Islands at around 8.2 Richters leaving us also watching the San Fernando Valley through Tijuana Region more or less just out of precaution BUT separate from the alert that is circling the Pacific. . . this one is CROSSING it. San Fernando Valley/Tijuana is still very much an active alert and we will need to continue watching that region of the Pacific Coast for this totally separate Major Earthquake Energy, although hoping it ran its course out there in the Papua New Guinea/Solomon Islands Region and there is nothing now left of all that energy. Just that it could still be out there into May 2014 you know!!!

Seems like it is almost a sure thing that Denali Fault will be shaking very soon! While the total magnitude of this earthquake should only be around the same as the others have most recently been getting or 6.6 to 7.5, there will remain the chance of this being a huge one up in that region and so I am posting that much larger maximum of 8.9 due mostly to the fact that they CAN get them that big up around that Alaska Region!!! There will be an update to recent Amendment To Official Prediction, but for right now Alaska is next inline for this now huge and very dangerous earthquake alert, albeit from self-proclaimed "EQ Guy". . . still a lot of Major Earthquake energy now heading up directly towards Denali Fault very near Anchorage and potentially then as big as 8.9 due to the fact that I now raised the maximum because Alaska just could go into that big of an earthquake, you know! Shouldn't be too long as everybody knows who has followed this big 8.2 Richters all the way up since the day it struck Chile. . . and even before! Also know this is still a seperate alert from San Fernando/Tijuana and that 8.2 is still very much heading for the San Fernando Valley, San Bernardino, Palmdale, Wrightwood, La Habra, to Tijuana Region!!!

Paragraph 5 of Amendment to Official Prediction says: "This Amendment is basically a request to accept the addition of La Habra, Eureka, Seattle, and Alaska and continue the previously filed April 9, 2014 Official Prediction through May 31, 2014 due to the addition of TC Ita. With all due respect for Japan, Taiwan, Queen Charlotte Island, and Vancouver Island all being outside the jurisdiction of the California and National Earthquake Prediction Evaluation Councils." 6.6 Richters Strikes At Vancouver Island, Canada!!! San Fernando, Tijuana, SoCal May Still Shake!!!!! Still 6.6 to 8.2 Richters!!!

Of the two major sources of potential earthquake energy it looks as though one of them has struck late Wednesday Night at Vancouver Island exactly as we have been watching. . . only too bad we are not able to let folks up that way know anything in advance, you know! Probably be some reports as information comes in from that huge shaker with felt reports from all over the State of Washington, but we should also watch for more shaking in that immediate area through Thursday, too. Now it will also mean the earthquake energy that has been running up the shore of the Pacific Tectonic Plate will NOW be due to strike around Juneau/Anchorage in the coming hours and days so of course all my regular readers already know what is probably going to happen up in Alaska, just that I have to add it could become the higher range on this one and I might even be inclined to now raise the top number in the range from 8.2 maybe to as high as 8.9?

Now back to the part of this EQ Blog that was written prior to the 6.6 Vancouver Island Earthquake if you all don't mind just reading more of my regular writings, there was a fairly big 3.5 Richters Earthquake up in the area around Butte, Montana early on Wednesday and big enough that it resulted in at least one newspaper story up in that Montana Region!!!

Recently I stumbled across a Manatee and looked him up on Wikipedia where I found an animal that appears to live in shallow water with the Amazon River being one of those places. The other two are Caribbean, and West Coast of Africa. THIS made me start to apply my research question like I always do on something like this to ask how they ended up on opposite sides of the Atlantic. . . and I decided it must have at one time either not been there at all or closer enough that the Manatee was able to swim across the channel. Then, it occurred to me the reason the two continents look like they were once connected is due to their relationship to the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, a divergent region in the middle of the Atlantic. The two continents or tectonic plates were simply formed out of the middle of this "Constructive Boundary" and then today just happen to have matching East and West Coasts respectively. At some point the two quite similar looking shorelines might have touched during the process by which they formed, but they are actually still forming today and not actually connected. One could say they were never actually connected and that it is simply the shoreline of the Atlantic that helps to outline the two similar elevations that look a lot as though they MIGHT have been connected out there in the middle of the Atlantic one day long ago when they were formed. In fact the existence of the Manatee up there in the headwaters of the Amazon also suggest the land all the way to the Mountain Range Peak that runs the length of South America might also have traveled from that same distance and probably also matches the Western Coast of Africa which would explain why the Manatee live in that region where there has long been the supply of shallow waters like they seem to live in. Leaving the existence of man who must not have ever lived out on what could have just been an island drifting further offshore from Africa long ago and probably controlled by other animals with man and his future intellegance being stuck on the mainland of Africa/Europe back in the day!

There was also a 2.4 just outside of Oakland with one felt report from Clovis, California.

We now have that huge earthquake energy migrating north as predicted and we can be rather certain it will be striking Alaska NEXT!!! We will also need to continue watching for the other source of earthquake energy that is currently headed across the Pacific from Madagascar and continued to shake Volcano, Hawaii as well as Cobb, California on Wednesday and San Fernando/Tijuana is next!!! Yes, I seem to have accurately tracked BOTH of these huge sources of Major Earthquake Energy across and around the Pacific!!! Let's see if I'm correct there should still be one more Major Earthquake that is about to shake around the Southern California Area so please Be Prepared!!! EQ Guy

Watching and Waiting For What Will Shake Next!!! NOW Hawaii Is Shaking!!! Mammoth Lakes/Reno Next!?

UPDATE: 2.1 Struck 49 Miles South of Reno around 5am Pacific! Probably be more shaking around Reno in coming hours!

The location of all yesterdays Hawaii Shakers just happens to be exactly along the line we are watching out there, and I have been saying Hawaii since the landfall of Tropical Cyclone Hellen at Madagascar on March 31, so when we start getting a lot of earthquakes right out there at the exact spot we have been watching then we now almost know for sure it means California next!!! It could also mean Cobb from yesterday is an early warning that some of this earthquake energy is already arriving! My regular readers will also know the last time we had something this big happening at Hawaii was in the midst of all the shaking at Virginia City, then at Mammoth Lakes, then HAWAII!!! Yes, you could almost say Hawaii was predictable the last time it shook this much, and it was almost predictable this time when it shook this much! Bottom line is that Hawaii is starting to almost seem predictable insofar as how and when it shakes!!!

You might have already figured out that the reverse just might be true and that is last time it traveled from Virginia City, to Mammoth Lakes, to Hawaii. . . so this time let us watch and see if Mammoth Lakes or Virginia City/Reno is the NEXT to shake!!! Who among you already knows what is going to happen next? And, in addition to the fact that Eureka might now be the hotspot where all the shaking is about to happen, don't forget San Francisco!!! SWARM Now Striking at Cobb, California!!! Many Shakers Through The Night!!! MORE For California!!!? 6.6 to 8.2?

There was also a 2.9 that struck 4 Miles North Northwest of Fontana with felt reports coming from Mt. Baldy to Oceanside and of course everywhere else in that immediate area such as Ontario, Rialto, San Bernardino, and Rancho Cucamonga. Now that I am writing this and thinking about it, San Bernardino just so happens to be one of the towns we are currently watching for and this one MIGHT indicate there is some movement there of the Pacific Tectonic Plate against the North American Tectonic Plate which meet right up there very near this Fontana Earthquake of early today!!! Be Watching that area because there is a lot of earthquake energy coming up along the Pacific there!!! Fontana is on the Pacific Tectonic Plate, too, for people who are keeping track of such facts!!! Although it's true they do get a lot of earthquakes up in that shaky Geyser Region, it also seems to always be an indication that there is Earthquake Energy coming and as a result we should now be watching especially close for the next Major Shaker to strike California!!! Do You Think This Might Be Big Los Angeles Earthquake Coming Up??? 6.6 to 8.2???

This is the question I was asking myself today as I discussed the latest George Noory Shows with one of my old friends who never misses Georges Show. Also Art Bell who is reportedly now retired, but I don't have the latest info as to whether Art is exactly retired right at the moment as I'm writing. . . or not. And George Noory is these days also doing a "TV Show" on the internet at: http://www.gaiamtv.com/show/beyond-belief?cid=aff:amb:sh:noory ALTHOUGH that is as much as I know about that right now and I didn't get home that long ago so I haven't had a chance to look into his "TV Show" there quite yet. My friend also said there have been a lot of other great radio show hosts on that "Coast To Coast" network that he routinely listens to and last time I stopped by up there in the more northern part of the state he reported some dificulty pulling in any of the several regional stations that he routinely listens to George Noory on and today I reported to him that I saw where Coast To Coast is on XM/Sirus Radio to his delight he might be going out and investing in a new satellite radio and then keeping me up to date on everything Jim Berkland is saying on the radio these days!!!

Well, as far as if there is really a big 6.6 to 8.2 Richters Earthquake heading for Los Angeles, I went over all of the facts during my drive up to that region today and came up with the fact that the movement of the Pacific Tectonic Plate is truly towards the north. . . but could be considered to be lessening with each movement of course having started with an 8.2 at Chile, then 6.6 at Nicaragua, finally 7.5 at Mexico leaving me wondering if the next location that shakes might be a 5.9 and Northern California? So, we would at least notice that and beyond that I have not given too much thought except for the fact that I could not exactly convince myself to believe that we'd be getting anything smaller than that in this here series.

Looks, then, like there probably is something coming!!! And neither do I see any way this could be the end of all the earthquake energy we've been seeing including all the shaking out at Solomon Islands, PNG, Nicaragua, Mexico, and Easter Island, too, and even on Easter Sunday for what that matters. Anyways The movement along the Pacific is probably not done and I also have another for what it's worth story and that is Day 23 after the landfall of Tropical Cyclone Hellen at Madagascar will be Wednesday this week. . . and on Day 23 after the landfall of Super Typhoon Nanmadol at Taiwan on December of 2004 was the Great Sumatra Earthquake and Tsunami. So on Wednesday the numbers start to really begin adding up!!! That will be just the first in a long series of days and dates we will need to start watching all the way up to a couple of my all time favorites, Day 42 and Day 43 or the day of the Islamabad Earthquake, Hector Mines Earthquake and others in between! Just correlations, but the earthquakes are very real and truly headed for California!!!

And the earthquakes are running into the BIG MAGNITUDES, too!!! 8.2 happening now several times is just too much Earthquake Energy to be messing around with so be prepared!!! Thank-You Again for Reading!!! EQ Guy

Filed Amendment to Official Prediction For San Fernando/Tijuana, and This Weeks New EQ V-Log!!!

Basically the Amendment to that Official Prediction is mostly out of the fact that the earthquake energy will ultimately travel up to Northern California, or the movement along the Pacific Tectonic Plate will, anyways. While the other line of earthquake energy will travel up into the mountains towards the San Andreas Fault and probably Nevada/Idaho/Yellowstone, the northward movement of the Pacific might be expected to interfere with the Triple Plate Junction and possibly shake that region about as good as its been shaken lately, like 6.6 to 8.2 as predicted. . . if 8.2 seems even remotely possible!!!? After The 7.5 Mexico, and 6.6 PNG. . . . . Will BIG La Habra Aftershock Be NEXT??? Big As 8.2? UPDATE: 4.2 Near Bakersfield!!!

Early on Friday Morning there was a 7.5 Richters Earthquake that struck Mexico and Shook Mexico City with at least one video showing a wall collapsing in that city! NOW with Chile 8.2, Nicaragua 6.6, and Mexico 7.5 it looks like all this Major Earthquake Energy could be Heading For California! That was when it occurred to me it could be time for an aftershock at La Habra and so I'm now thinking along the lines that might become the exact epicenter for this upcoming potential major shaker that we are so buisily watching the San Fernando Valley for.

Now a 6.6 at PNG and looks like it is the exact same epicenter as all the other New Guinea shakers that immediately followed the landfall of Tropical Cyclone Ita north of Cairns, Australia on April 11. Being right in there in the middle of all these other ones currently going on just seems to make it look like there might be something big going on there, know what I mean? Up to that point I had mostly been watching the major earthquakes track up that Pacific Coast from Chile, to Nicaragua, now to Mexico. . . just knowing California is sort of next inline there! Although I suppose another 6.6 at PNG could simply mean the Pacific Tectonic Plate (PTP) is moving!

The 7.5 Richters Earthquake that struck Mexico on Friday was 125 Miles Southwest of Mexico City and appears to have caused at least a small amount of damage there having seen at least one film clip of shaking followed by a wall crashing down like onto a sidewalk. Then it wasn't too long before there was a 2.7 that struck at La Habra, California and suddenly I realized it might be possible that this now upcoming big shaker or aftershock could strike La Habra!!! Yes, while doing all that watching up in San Fernando it suddenly actually makes more sense that we might watch that shaky epicenter over in the La Habra Area which is after all right there in that range that I've been watching between San Fernando and Tijuana, anyways! Not actually that far from San Bernardino, either, although San Bernardino doesn't really have anything to do with what's going on here right now, now that I think about it. Same as San Francisco eventually was removed from this discussion earlier in the week due to only being correlated by way of a similiar landfall preceeding it over in Australia. . . not enough to go on as far as being able to even convince myself that it could be connected to a potential upcoming earthquake, not quite.

7.5 Just Struck 165 Miles Southwest of Mexico City!!!!! WATCH For More!!!!! San Fernando, San Bernardino, Tijuana!!!!! NOW With Felt Report From Mexico City, OKC, and TX!!!

I was just in the process of Re-Tweeting my todays EQ Blog, infact I had already sent it and the next thing I did was brought up my Twitter NewsFeed, which naturally you would know has all the latest earthquakes, when a 7.5 at Mexico was glaring at the top of that list! I actually went right back and deleted the repeat and here is a whole new updated version of todays EQ Blog with the weekly EQ Podcast now on hold until we sort through everything that is going on and may be happening along that Pacific!

First, Chile 8.2, Nicaragua 6.6, and now 7.5 Richters has just struck along that same line that looks like it is headed directly for our West Coast!!! 7.5 Richters a few miles Southwest of Mexico City would naturally be among the next geographic places for an earthquake heading for our West Coast and 7.5 is about the amount we will now continue to watch for with the possibllity of this one striking along the San Andreas Fault due to the direction the Pacific Tectonic Plate seems to be moving, here.

This is a seperate movement from the fact that there is also a Major Earthquake Energy crossing the Pacific and we are watching around Wake Island, Guam, and Hawaii for something as big and hopefully not a lot bigger than 8.2 Richters to strike as an indication that there is a Major Earthquake heading for San Fernando Valley and Tijuana!

Probably should not be alarmed about Mexico getting a shaker this big while we were watching Tijuana, because there was actually also a small shaker around Ensenada earlier today, too, this is not the Tijuana Earthquake we are watching for due to the TJ Shaker being the result of all the earthquake energy along the line from Madagascar. . . and todays Mexico Shaker being the result of the movement of the Pacific Tectonic Plate from TC Ita at Queensland, Australia!

6.2 at Balleny Islands, 6.0 Solomon Islands!!! Hokaido and Urkutsk Next!!! AND San Fernando/Tijuana???

Thursday started out very good from the stand point of continually watching for where the next major shaker would be. I was in a momentary state of shock upon seeing 6.2 at Balleny Islands Region! I must have immediately known it meant very close to Macquarie Island or exactly where we had been watching for the major shaker to strike as a result of the landfall far north of there at North of Cairns, Australia.

Now it appears to be certain Hokaido, Japan will be getting some of this earthquake energy heading up in that area, and also a Russian area or city known as Urkutsk and Kamchatka. The thing that remains in question is the fact that we want to figure out as best as we can, where those 8.2 Richters Earthquakes are heading! Now if my calculations are correct it does not appear they are moving in this here north and south direction along the line of earthquake energy generated by the landfall of Tropical Cyclone Ita at North of Queensland, Australia on April 10 and 11, 2014 due to the fact that it looks like Thursdays 6.2 at Balleny Islands is more like about how much earthquake energy I believe we are watching for.

As a result that leaves the Major Earthquake energy as a result of the landfall at Madagascar of Tropical Cyclone Hellen which had already been suspected of having been a player in the 8.2 at Chile. . . and now it could also become the Major Earthquake Energy heading directly for San Fernando and Tijuana which you could say is exactly what we did NOT want to hear!!! Sorry, but the 6.2 at that south Triple Plate Junction is not lying! It could of and should have been a much bigger earthquake and I suppose you could say we might still watch a few days, yet, but if nothing else happens the good news is there is only about a 6.2 heading for Japan. . . the bad news is there is an 8.2 heading for our West Coast!!!

We will need to see something major yet around Wake Island, Easter Island, or Hawaii, however it could reach our West Coast without any notice at all, so be watching! But probably out in the Pacific for a few days yet and let's just hope something shakes out that way as an indication! And watch Japan because they are sort of next in line and could shake at any moment and we should still think all the way up to 8.2 or so because we do not know yet for sure on that big one that is out there! Might want to start watching around Banda Aceh and Phuket, Sumatra, Indonesia only due to them being located up along that tectonic plate boundary, I do not have any earthquake energy headed directly for them, you know, just as a precaution for now.

Swarm at Puerto Rico, Where Would Shaking Be Coming From? ALSO: Someone Blogging ABOUT The EQ Guy!!!

Checking the latest earthquakes I found that it looked like there were a lot of them from Puerto Rico, which isn't all that unusual except that it was enough to go to the map of Puerto Rico and see what the entire list looked like on the map. It was just as I thought! A lot of them all in one place and with the first one being the furthest south, followed by ones further north. . . and then a whole big cluster of them all a few miles offshore and north of that island. Up to this point it looks like my final answer on San Bernardino is going to be that it will already be covered by my existing Official Prediction and there will simply be an "Ammendment" to the existing O.P. to discuss the fact that when the line of earthquake energy crosses the Valley. . . it will continue on up over the San Gabriel Mountians and intersect with the San Andreas Fault up around Palmdale and Wrightwood along with the fact that next inline is San Bernardino and since they are already situated between the San Fernando Valley and Tijuana they are already covered by this O.P. and maybe I'll include a pic or two of my reading from the globe/straight-line tool. Full Moon Window Will Run All Through Wednesday This Week!!! 8.2 and 8.2 Will Continue On. . . . .

Yes, it has been one of those full moons, although we have been getting so much shaking on the full and new moons that I feel I must say right here and now that all of the alerts that we are most watching for do not necessarily respond to the additional pull of the full moon. Of course the full moon can trigger earthquakes, but when the April Full Moon passes we will continue to watch for these two big alerts into May 2014 because this is a lot of earthquake energy we are talking about here, you know!

A couple of very important updates tonight including the fact that I re-ran the line from the landfall at Madagascar of Tropical Cyclone Hellen on March 31, 2014 and it did not exactly line up with the epicenter of all the shaking out at Solomon Islands. . . therefore it may be less likely San Fernando will get a direct hit from all this Major Earthquake Energy, but it also occurred to me San Fernando is not the San Andreas Fault, either. The San Andreas Fault in that scenario is up in the Palmdale/Lancaster Neighborhood and runs past Wrightwood and then through or very close to San Bernardino. So, San Fernando is about the first populated place along this line after Hawaii, but the line goes on to CROSS The San Andreas Fault further out beyond Los Angeles and those places I listed there might be more likely to be exact town names that become epicenters of this potentially as big as 8 Magnitude Shaker.

Finally, I took a good close look at the landfall of Tropical Cyclone Ita North of Cairns Australia and noticed Hokaido, Japan at the top of the globe, there, and Tasmania and Macquarie Island at the bottom. This line also crosses directly through Urkuska, Russia, and just past Wallis and Fortuna and the Caribbean as well as a lot of the Mid-Atlantic while not really looking too much like Azores or Lisbon could get much shaking, but at the same time this line of huge earthquake energy does run a little close to South America, while not actually crossing onto land there.

Got a great pic of the "Blood Moon" but to answer all the questions about what effect it will have on earthquakes, I do not believe any more pull than usual moons. Some great pics, though and actually watched as the eclipse crossed over the face of the moon and somehow it suddenly right at about the exact moment it might usually go totally dark after being completely covered by the shadow of earth. . . instead it turned reddish? Have not quite yet figured out why due to one channel about to tell that story when I walked away from the TV, and the radio being about to tell it at work on Tuesday, when Name Edited Guy interrupted. April Full Moon Window WITH That Total Eclipse!!!!! Watching For Major Earthquake, Too!!! 8.2 And 8.2 Coming!!!

As the sky clears up around my part of the country I am on the verge of getting an optimum view of this eclipse that has been all over in the news! Just now viewed the wonderful Full Moon high in the Southern Sky and as soon as I am finished here I will be catching and photographing the entire thing, or as much as you can see at 2:45am!!!

In the mean time it will be the height of the April Full Moon Window and let us plan on running the full moon window through Tuesday and perhaps into Wednesday a little just as a precaution. First let us see what we come up with as far as earthquakes are concerned with the one alert currently headed out into the Pacific Islands we are sure to get some major aftershocks of both or either of the PNG New Guinea, or the Solomon Islands 8.2! One of those shaky spots out in the middle of the Pacific will most likly do some shaking it is just a matter of how much shaking and how close to the exact moment of the full moon all the shaking will be going on at!

Finally, I haven't decided what to do with the potential San Francisco/San Bernardino Alert, however here is what I'm thinking. . . since the San Francisco angle was basically the result of one of the locations where another big Tropical Cyclone had made landfall was very near the recent one, it occurred to me I could hardly submit such an assertion to real and true professional earthquake folks such as my friends at CEPEC and NEPEC. No, rather it would have to contain enough information so as to more or less physically point to a much more specific location than just the events found in an old newspaper albeit a huge story. Weighty as it is and might sound, San Francisco is only now being included due to one other major correlation and as a result might not be in the cross-hairs of all this new upcoming Major Earthquake Energy. I say it is, but real professionals could not be swayed into any action beyond reading my material themselves and I honestly do not really have too much more than that. The other factoid I might submit would be the straight line across the San Fernando Valley could cause the San Andreas Fault to kick a little in the direction of Frisco and possibly the Triple Plate Junction (TPJ), but that in itself is even somewhat of a long-shot with that ominous straight-line traveling right through the heart of that valley so as to bisect it. All bets are on San Fernando who by the way actually had a small shaker early on Monday for what it's worth. So I will stay with the predicted magnitude range of 6.5 to 7.9 and San Fernando to Tijuana at least for now.

And it must yet cross the Hawaii Region and possibly shake out there, too! Having spent considerable time working on this I also came up with one from the past known today as the "Mettler Swarm" and want to note that the "Grand Finale" DOES NOT lose any of its punch at all with these swarms, and foreshocks such as might be what struck Solomon Islands Sunday! COULD be the whole entire force of that 8.2 Richters crossing the Pacific Tectonic Plate and headed directly for San Fernando/Tijuana!!!!! All of it!!!!! There were also a number of those like that there prior to the Great Sumatra Earthquake and Tsunami of 2004, too! AND they hardly damped down the size of that one! Be Watching because there could still be 8.2 and 8.2 out there with one crossing and one coming up the shore from Chile and Nicaragua!!! AND Be Prepared!!! EQ Guy

LOOKS Like Next Big California Earthquake Could Be 8.2 San Francisco!!!??? San Bernardino??? Full Moon Window Starts NOW!!!

Actual moment of the April 2014 Full Moon will be tomorrow morning at 2:45am Central, 12:45am Pacific and so the April Full Moon Window already started at those times today!!! WATCH For lots of shaking!!!

Haven't decided yet if this should be my next "Official Prediction". . . or if you are simply reading it here right now and that will be the end of it because all that Major Earthquake Energy that appears to have just now crossed at The Solomon Islands might be either the same exact earthquake energy already headed for San Fernando (See recent prediction link below) or now a lot of brand new Major Earthquake Energy with San Francisco as a possible epicenter! So, I went and checked the Hurricane Card to see what day we were at on that Official Prediction from the landfall of Tropical Cyclone Hellen at Madagascar and found that we are now at Day-14 after that landfall. The reason I wanted to know was because all of the brand new huge Major Earthquake Energy out in the Pacific at Solomon Islands seemed like quite a lot for just that landfall of Tropical Cyclone Ita a couple days ago and it occurred to me the previous landfall of Tropical Cyclone Hellen might have been a factor in Solomon Islands when I then realized the line of Earthquake Energy from that big windstorm DID run right through that area and very near the North Island of New Zealand! IF, just IF this is the case. . . then I want to remind everybody reading this now that was the line of major Earthquake Energy heading directly for San Fernando Valley and the Tijuana Region!!! I extrapolated all this with the fact that there was an almost identical fault line involved in the Solomon Islands series identical to the long straight run of San Andreas to the curve at San Bernardino. . . and though possibly add San Francisco and San Bernardino to this already dangerous alert and possibly to the Official Prediction as well, haven't decided what to do there, yet.

CLUSTER at Left struck with landfall of Ita, Cluster at right was 8.2 / 7.6 Solomon Islands there where bend in "San Andreas" is identical to San Bernardio, almost Downtown!!! Also that offshoot fault line there is coincidentally also the very route of Tropical Cyclone Ita! Complete with yellow dot where an earthquake must have struck while T.C. Ita was directly on top of this fault line, F.Y.I.

The existing Official Prediction to which I may now want to add San Francisco/San Bernardino is at http://earthquakealert2.blogspot.com/2014/04/official-prediction-for-major.html HOWEVER among the problems I will have to deal with as I decide what I'm going to do here is the fact that I believe San Francisco/San Bernardino goes up to more in the 8.2 or 8.3 Range due to all the huge shaking they're getting and San Fernando/Tijuana is sort of inline for this one, too. Therefore I suppose I could simply add Frisco to the existing O.P. and note the higher possible Magnitude. . . but it does sort of still seem like this would then be a whole entirely new O.P./EQ Alert, so I guess I'm still not sure what I'm going to do there. Until then watch San Francisco for up to 8.2 Richters because one of the locations where previous big Tropical Cyclones have made landfall along that Eastern Shore of Australia is the location of the big Tropical Cyclone that preceded the Great San Francisco Earthquake of 1906!!! Just Sayin'

Might also watch around Hawaii, and the latest on the other side of the Pacific, or US. . . is that 6.6 Nicaragua could also mean heading for West Coast after traveling up from Chile 8.2 so either way it doesn't look too good for California!!! 8.3 Richters Earthquake Strikes Solomon Islands, Tsunami Cancled, NOW Also a 7.4 Sunday Morning and List UPDATED!!!

This earthquake was then downgraded at some point to a 7.6 but was still pretty much as I discussed in todays earlier EQ Blog @ http://earthquakealert.blogspot.com/2014/04/tropical-cyclone-ita-makes-landfall-66.html AND there was a story about it on the front page of MSNBC that I saw as soon as I got home from the new Kevin Costner Movie "Draft Day" which was a Great Movie and had me on the edge of my seat a number of times waiting to see what was going to happen next! Can't tell too much more about it without giving away what trades he makes throughout the movie and the ending!!! Highly Recommended!!!

Tropical Cyclone ITA Makes Landfall at Far North of Queensland, 6.6 Richters Strikes Nicaragua, AND a 3.2 Strikes 33 Miles SSE of Coachella!!!

I've always marveled at the Coachella Festival out there in beautiful Coachella and noticed it is not unusual for an earthquake to coincide with the big fest! Well, this year I had not yet gotten around to guessing this would happen, and only in the last day or so seen it mentioned that it was, or might be, this weekend. That was until late Friday when I checked out the list of latest earthquakes and spotted Salton Sea, and 33 Miles SSE of Coachella staring at me on the list, there! Could be more coming for that area but hopefully just those little shakers like that and in general the epicenters in that region are generally up there in the much higher desert regions more towards Barstow or Borrego Springs to the west.

The 6.6 was a fairly big earthquake at Nicaragua and there could be more in that region and it is possible that is the movement of the Pacific Tectonic Plate headed for Tijuana and San Fernando Valley as I stated in recent Official Prediction if anybody wants to see it and hasn't yet, it's at: http://earthquakealert2.blogspot.com/2014/04/official-prediction-for-major.html

Landfall of Tropical Cyclone ITA at the far north of Queensland, Australia around Cooktown is all over the news if you type in the name of that storm in a search engine! Now also has its own Wikipedia Page, too!!! @ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyclone_Ita AND while I wanted to update the story on there about the earthquake. . . maybe one of you will like to edit Wikipedia a little there and write up the part from my yesterdays EQ Blog about the 7.1 at New Guinea striking at the same exact moment as the eye of that cyclone made landfall. A close examanition of the facts revealed that in the two frames that were posted in the clip at the exact hour of that landfall, the 7.1 would have struck right at the moment the eye-wall itself was contacting land and if it matters the 7.1 earthquakes' epicenter was up amidst the islands where ITA was originated! Not quite sure if that is because the winds pushed Australia west, or if it had something to do with ocean currents, storm surge, or convection?

And in the process of observing all that stuff, there, I also managed to add one more city to the list of places where Major Earthquakes have struck after similar landfalls!!!!! Yes, San Francisco 1906 hit on Day-45 after the landfall of a cyclone at Croydon, Australia on March 4, 1906 with the anniversary of that 1906 Earthquake coming up this time next week on April 18, 2014 it will be 108 years ago!!!!! Hopefully this cyclone did not make landfall at that same "Sweet Spot" if you know what I mean!!!

However it did make landfall just the same and will mean more Major Earthquakes so be watching around the Indian Ocean/Australian Tectonic Plate and the Pacific now for the next 7.6 to 8.1 Richters Earthquake and Be Prepared!!! EQ Guy

HUGE And Very Dangerous Landfall of Tropical Cyclone Ita North of Cairns, Australia!!! 7.1 at Papua New Guinea! AND Aftershocks Nicaragua

It sort of almost looks like they had that 7.1 at Papua New Guinea at about the same instant that Tropical Cyclone ITA was making its huge landfall at Australia! That is the landfall of TC Ita pushing against the shores North of Cairns, Australia might well have already been the first in a potential series of Major Shakers yet to come in the wake of the landfall of this Huge Windstorm with wind gusts reported as high as 189 mph!!!

I do recall mentioning in my earlier EQ Blog today that we should probably watch immediately for shaking due to the possibility that just such a thing could occur and am not really too surprised that we did have something like that or at least it appears we do. You decide whether they were connected. . . but I am going to say they are!

One of the aftershocks of yesterdays 6.1 that struck 25 miles north of Managua, Nicaragua has now struck to the Southwest of that city and left the City of Managua situated just about right in between the Major Earthquake and now at least one of the aftershocks. Could indicate this city might be next inline to become an actual epicenter itself, just a matter of how big and how close to the heart of that city! Managua was struck by a big earthquake in the 1970's, you know.

Landfall of Tropical Cyclone unfortunately will probably mean the NEXT in the line with other major earthquakes that have been the result of similar Tropical Cyclones that I know of striking that very dangerous region of North East Australia with the others being the Bam, Iran Earthquake of 2004, Haichang, China Earthquake of 1975, Christchurch, and Honshu Japan Earthquakes of 2011. ALL are Major Earthquakes that struck following the landfall of similar huge Tropical Cyclones up in those northern shores of Australia and if that 7.1 at Papua New Guinea at 2:07am Central Time and immediately following the EYE of T.C. Ita's landfall, is any indication. . . then the tectonic plate there is already on the move!!! Be Watching!!! EQ Guy

6.1 Richters Strikes 25 Miles From Managua, Nicaragua!!!!! Damage Reported!!! Landfall Near for Huge Tropical Storm Ita North of Cairns!!!

Actual place of landfall on Tropical Cyclone Ita will be near Cairns, Australia and I mentioned Darwin, Australia in an earlier EQ Blog, sorry! Wind Gusts now reported with top speed of 189 mph, so this will now be a very serious matter when it makes landfall in the coming hours or sometime on Friday our time. California is not too far down the road, either. . . especially with that other 8.2 lurking out there somewhere around the Pacific!

There has been at least one report of damage, from the 6.1 Near Managua, that I spotted on Twitter but have no actual reports other than one pic I saw out of the corner of my eye while scrolling my timeline on EQ Twitter. There IS damage, though and according to my calculations there could be a lot of it at Managua, the capital city 25 miles to the south along the shores of Lake Managua and there has been at least one aftershock, too! Also there are a number of towns closer and the epicenter of this 6.1 was well away from the ocean on land there. This could also be an indication that the earthquake energy around the Pacific as a result of the 8.2 at Chile just might be now heading closer to our West Coast and California.

Among the other earthquake stuff that has been happening in the last day or so was a very curious incident with TWO Earthquakes both of 5.2 Striking at opposite ends of the world last night! Both 5.2's struck at 15:29 and :02 Wallis Fortuna, and :11 at Pacific/Antarctic Plate Boundary, so basically you could say 7 seconds apart give or take how long the Wallis and Fortuna Earthquake shook! Not sure as I write this if the two exactly the same Richters Earthquakes were exactly connected. . . or not. Looks like they had to have been connected in some way, but probably not to the extent that they could possibly have been the same earthquake although they are almost at opposite points of the earth and left me wondering if they were not just one big earthquake, that shook one whole region? What region that would have been I haven't figured out, perhaps all of South America?

Idaho also had a 4.1 possibly leading to more or the next big Yellowstone 5 Magnitude Earthquake in the coming days, and Oklahoma had their usual 4.1 and 3.7 Earthquakes that are becoming routine these days!

Line of major shaking does seriously cross San Fernando Valley and a re-check revealed Tijuana, Mexico so much for hoping a re-check would make that huge earthquake energy go away, you know! Also be watching those other places such as Algiers, Mozambique, Azores, and etc. Be Prepared San Fernando Valley and Tijuana Region. . . there could be an 8 Magnitude Earthquake or smaller, heading directly for all of you!!! It appears the felt report is coming primarily from folks in the Los Angeles area who are patiently awaiting the next (Possibly Upcoming) Major Los Angeles Earthquake. . . and are very generously taking the time to write out reports about every single time the ground moves there in L.A. The result being that we seem to now constantly get reports along with just about every single Southern California Earthquake coming from Brea, La Habra, Whittier, and etc. But in the case of this particular earthquake or series of them, you might notice the number of felt reports that came from Lake Isabella: 12! Finally, the seriousness of Brand New Tropical Cyclone ITA is growing quickly!!!!! Early Tuesday it was a big windstorm circling the islands just to the northeast of Australia and as of early today it is starting to look a lot more like a huge hurricane with maximum wind gust speeds now predicted to go as high as 135 Knots and Maximum Pressure at 970. T.C. Ita has a few more miles to go yet before landfall at it looks like Queensland, Australia and maybe 48 hours, but looks very much like it might grow fast and the landfall will most likely be the next very big and dangerous one! Tropical Cyclone Ita is actually looking a lot like Severe Tropical Cyclone Yasi that made a very similar landfall in 2011 and came to precede both the Christchurch Earthquake and the big Honshu Japan Earthquake and Tsunami, so watch Ita closely!!!!! EQ Guy

I was measuring the distances from these towns in the region of this France Earthquake due to it looking kind of big and knowing it was situated up in that region where there is a Major Earthquake heading and hopefully just passing since by now everybody has seen, heard, or read Algiers, Algeria, Morocco, Azores, and Iceland in a number of EQ Blogs, etc., but while I may not have wrote Paris or France. . . it would not be unusual for such an earthquake to strike up in that region, although I do not know what the biggest Paris Earthquake of all time might have been?

This 4.7 also struck 800 miles Northeast of Lisbon, Portugal and 100 miles from Geneva. The thing that was probably the most notable from the perspective of watching that line, is the fact it looks like this earthquake energy might have actually run directly through Morocco and Algeria to get to this epicenter there in the middle of France! I measured about 500 miles from Algeria and the boundary with Morocco is not far from there and I can clearly see Algeria on the map right there in the middle of all the action as I am writing this. Fairly big felt report, but I did not see Paris on there and am not great with my French town names, so I won't bother with the felt report besides saying Paris isn't on the list. Rule I use there is 4.7 might be felt as many miles if you move the decimal point over one space in this case to the right, or 47 miles and Paris was 300 miles. Sort of a new experimental rule that I sort of just made up as I was preparing todays EQ Blog, but might need a little work. Prior to this use of that new "Move the decimal" rule, I had just glanced at the numbers in this case 4.7 and automatically just said 47 or 50 miles without moving the decimal, so you are up to date on that latest calculation I'm using. Didn't work so great earlier today when that 4.0 hit near Oklahoma City, because it was like 30 miles from Oklahoma City so according to my fairly new formula there might not be any felt reports from OKC. . . wrong, there were reports it looked like from just about every Zip Code, although mostly one or two's, so there is still at least some hope for my new numbers theory.

There have also been a number of earthquakes in Mexico at 4.7, 4.5, and 3.2 Enseneda. With the 4.7 being 137 miles West of Guatemala City, and the 4.5 at 327 miles Northwest of Guatemala City. And my notes say Gibraltar is in there somewhere, too!!!

Finally, continue to watch Mozambique because it still seems a bit unusual they do not seem to have gotten anything out of all this, yet, and New Zealand also, although the earthquake energy is going to split that tectonic plate boundary right up the middle on its way up and across the Pacific, it is very possible this will cause some kind of major movement of the islands out in that region too many to go into the list of all. Could be a huge earthquake for New Zealand, though and with a foreshock at Chile of 8.2 this could easily be an 8 Magnitude Earthquake for the New Zealand Neighborhood in the coming days. Los Angeles, Tijuana, and San Fernando is still very much along the line, too, so be watching L.A. and be prepared!!! Thank-You Again for Reading!!! EQ Guy

3.3 Strikes 15 Miles West of Downtown Portland!!! 423 Felt Reports From Portland!!! ALSO: New EQ V-Log and EQ Podcast!!!

Now the really big story, besides the 5 or 10 earthquakes that struck Oklahoma is the 3.3 that struck very near Downtown Portland with 423 Felt Reports from Portland, 220 from Beaverton 8 miles from the epicenter, 100 from Sherwood the town name given to the earthquake and 5 miles Northwest of the epicenter, and 5 felt reports from Salem the Capital City of Oregon.

You might recall that Mt. Hood, just over 50 miles East of the Sherwood Epicenter had a rather huge swarm that took place there about a week or so ago and that at that time I discussed all of the possible things that could happen next considering all the movement up in that region. Of course Mt. St. Helens would be one of the biggest ones I would worry about, but I seem to recall along the way discussing Portland if for no other reason due to it being about the biggest population center in that region. Salem, Oregon might also become a concern since the West Coast is currently now looking at the traveling 8.2 Richters that has already struck at Iquique, Chile and according to my tracking of the movement of that earthquake energy across the Pacific Tectonic Plate should be heading directly for our West Coast right about now! While an Official Prediction is very much in order, it takes me some time to get it all prepared and so in the meantime please remember Portland/Salem could be very much inline for a Major Earthquake and so folks up in that region could right about now think along the lines of earthquake preparation.

The other places where Major Earthquake Energy could be heading are New Zealand, Mozambique, Algeria, Iceland, Azores, New York, Chicago, Tijuana, and San Fernando Valley/Los Angeles. The sum total of 8.2 has already struck Iquique, Chile. . . but it could also be registering the movement of the Pacific Tectonic Plate, too, in which case California and our West Coast could be next! Apparently The Recent La Habra/Los Angeles Earthquakes Ended With March New Moon Window!!!

I know I mentioned it right there at the end of the New Moon Window coverage earlier in the week, but I just now looked back through it to see what the final numbers on the theory were and came up with some startling information based on this, what I still want to call brand new theory about the New Moon. Up to this point I had taken on Full Moons and even came up with one of my best during Quake Chase 2011, but since 2011 someone mentioned somewhere that if the full moon has that effect, then the new moon would HAVE to also have the same effect apparently due to how moons work or whatever. So at some point along the way I started also carefully tracking the dates of the New Moons and creating my own what I call "New Moon Window" to go along with the already successful "Full Moon Windows". Well, I found the most interesting thing happened at last months New Moon Window up in Virginia City without going into all the details, that huge swarm there ENDED right at the exact moment of the New Moon!!! So, now a quite similar thing just happened AGAIN with the March New Moon!!! I know some of you want to hear more about Bison leaving Yellowstone, so I went back and checked, and the date on the video was March 20, 2014 and so it now seems possible the bison might have been running knowing there was the 4.7 about to strike that actually DID strike over the March 2014 New Moon Window last weekend on around March 29 or 30. Believe me, I understand bison running from an earthquake and it striking during a "New Moon Window" is kind of far from quickly becoming "Accepted Science". . . but the numbers do seem to talk kind of loud, there, and that video is sort of awesome, too! If there was any truth to it, then they were running about 10 days before that big earthquake struck, and it IS being reported as the biggest earthquake to hit Yellowstone in a lot of years, too!

Great Movie, Too!!!!!

As I was scrolling back through all the earthquakes in the past 24 hours prior to writing todays EQ Blog, I found a discrepancy with the magnitude for the 3.7 Richters Earthquake that struck late yesterday right at press time for that EQ Blog. While it appeared immediately to me that it had been just another earthquake with an "Unknown" number to go along with it due to the size of the earthquake being changed. . . as I often do, I went back to the original message I received on my phone and found the earthquake was originally a 3.7 when I received the message. That is if we are talking about the same earthquake, now? Therefore without going into a lot more indepth research to find out what happened there to those numbers, we will simply move on with me just saying it appears the numbers in yesterdays EQ Blog and elsewhere referencing the Yountville Earthquake might not all agree and I will end by saying it was somewhere in the 3 or 4 Range. 4.7 as listed might not be accurate, but then again you never know these days sometimes.

4.7 Strikes 50 Miles North of San Francisco!!!!! ALSO: Bison Are Actually FLEEING From Yellowstone National Park!!!!!

If it wasn't for the fact that I just so happened to be reading a book called "When Snakes Awake" all about a collection of the facts related to animals being able to know when a BIG EARTHQUAKE is about to happen. . . this might not have otherwise caught my attention. Just today this was reported in one of my regular earthquake publications I read and so I will reprint it either as a link or embeded player @ LOOKS to me like this was surely a sign that Yellowstone would now for sure be the epicenter for probably their next Major Shaker possibly as big as 7 or 8 Richters, however due to noticing a few comments questioning the vid, I am now wondering WHEN it was taken and may have some difficulty pinpointing the exact window when this now possibly upcoming Major Yellowstone Earthquake might strike!!! IF it was accurate they probably are going to be having a Major Earthquake in the coming days.

In a matter that is now probably unrelated to the bison story, there was a 4.7 Richters Earthquake that struck 50 Miles North of San Francisco late on Thursday Night and 7 miles East of a town up that way called Yountville. According to the information I was able to locate regarding yesterdays aftershock at Chile, there do not seem to be any additional injuries or damage, although they did run a tsunami alert that was canceled right away afterwards.

Remember we are still watching for Mozambique, and Algiers Region to shake and I will have more information about how this huge alert could affect the San Fernando Valley or Tijuana Region by next week sometime. . . hopefully nothing major will shake before then, but be prepared there just the same!!!
