6.9 Richters Early today up around the region we like to call Siberia, Russia, and that Swarm which had been affecting the Nevada-California, CalNev Region seems to have slowed dramatically while we have also been experiencing a significant melt off of all of the snow that once fell on the Midwest. It is also possible they are getting a melt off on the East Coast where their amounts of snow were once even higher. Melting snow historically does not generate too much seismic energy and the more of it that melts off. . . the less concern there will be for California, West Coast, and Jamaica/Haiti.
Don't forget that we will CONTINUE to watch for a fairly good shaker probably around the Pacific or Hawaii as a result of the 5.0 Korean Nuke Test!!! There might also be something shaking following the Hattiesburg Tornado, but possibly Mexico, or Mexico City there, since I have little or no information about damage there. So, there are still a couple of earthquakes coming, but as far as amount of snow and whether it is melting, I am guessing we can figure it out by watching Tonopah, Nevada and see if the North American Tectonic Plate is still pushing against them out there and only if it continues, then watch San Francisco/Eureka, and Have a Happy Valentines Day, Everybody!!!
